A line up of professionals, students, and enthusiasts will share their obsession with Northern California (NOCA) Modernism. Each short presentation will highlight a different Modernist building, landscape, object, or practitioner in NOCA.

Presenters Camila Baum, Sarah Hahn, Eric Keune, Jon Rusch, Hannah Simonson, Ethen Wood, and Ben Zotto will present on a range of topics from local architects Roger Lee and Mario Ciampi to the National Park Service’s Mission 66 buildings in Yosemite to a relocated mosaic to Modern typography on San Francisco’s street signs to Diamond Heights’ sculptural safety wall to the Brutalist San Francisco Art Institute.

Event will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Zoom login details will be provided by email after registration. $5 tickets available through Eventbrite.

$5 tickets help support Docomomo US/NOCA—a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization that endeavors to promote the study, interpretation, documentation, and protection of the architecture, landscape, and urban design of the Modern Movement in Northern California. We host walking tours, virtual events, screenings, and lectures for the public, as well as fund a grant program for students and emerging professionals to attend the annual Docomomo US National Symposium.
